7/28/10 : Sweater Musings

The September/October 2010 issue of Crochet Today is out now (yay!) and I have spent the last two evenings reading it from cover-to-cover. There were a lot of patterns I liked right away--not something that happens often for me! I typically need to go back to the issue after a month to really appreciate the designs, but Robyn Chachula and Mari Lynn Patrick's sweaters really caught my eye.

The Tailored Blazer

I never have been a big fan of crocheted sweaters, they always seem to be too chunky and may I say it, crafty? But the last few sweater designs I've been seeing in Interweave Crochet and Crochet Today have been beautiful! So over the course of this summer I will be daydreaming about crocheted sweaters and perhaps, yes perhaps, I will actually start hooking one this fall.

I'm thinking about doing either Robyn's latest--the Everyday Cardi--or Ellen Gormley's Weekend Pullover.

Lots of thinking to do. . . ;D

  1. Hi Anna,

The Everyday Cardi is a lovely sweater and I think a couple more buttons--or maybe even a zipper--would make it perfect. Thanks for sharing your opinion!
